Transform your IS300 into an All-Wheel-Drive or 4WD configuration. Each kit from AWD Engineering is precision-fabricated and built to order using high-grade materials and geometry developed through extensive testing. We did all the R&D to ensure your AWD setup drives OEM+.
We did NOT use any rare, discontinued JDM-only parts. Every serviceable component can be sourced, serviced, and replaced without relying on rare imported drivetrain parts. While this kit is bolt-on, professional installation is highly recommended.

I had shops quote me anywhere from $50,000 to $150,000 for custom AWD conversions due to fabrication complexity, labor, and custom parts needed. We invested years of R&D to create an affordable, OEM-like bolt-in solution so every JZ enthusiast can experience AWD performance and take Godzilla head-to-head.
Other AWD IS300 builds rely on discontinued rare JDM parts costing $30,000+ for imported components alone, and still require extensive chassis modification. Our AWD JZ kit, however, bolts directly to factory IS300 mounting points and our AWD JZ oil sump bolts directly to RWD 2JZ/1JZ blocks, with improved oil pickup design and baffling for consistent oil pressure under hard launches.
Whatβs Included:
- All parts are patent pending.
- Custom AWD Front Subframe (1): Heavy-duty custom AWD subframe that bolts into factory mounting points on the IS300 chassis.
- Custom AWD Sump (1): Bolt-on AWD JZ oil pan designed for RWD 1JZ/2JZ blocks, featuring integrated baffling, integrated oil pickup, and 10AN oil drain.
- Custom AWD Spindles with LS460 Adapter Brackets (2): Pair includes built-in roll-center correction and LS460 big brake compatibility. Uses IS-F rotors and LS460 calipers that you source separately.
- Custom AWD Engine Brackets (2): Provide clearance for factory A/C lines and front differential.
- Custom AWD Engine Mounts (2): Low-profile polyurethane mounts for vibration isolation and OEM fitment. Easily serviceable bushings.
- Custom AWD Steering Subframe (1) & Custom Inner Tie Rods (2): Custom steering rack subframe and custom tie rods designed for the electric steering rack conversion. If you wish to keep power-assisted steering, an electric steering rack conversion is required for front differential clearance on LHD cars. RHD IS300 owners please contact us directly for a RHD-specific setup.
- Custom AWD Lower Control Arms (2): Fully adjustable with chromoly heim joints.
- Complete Hardware Pack: Includes all bolts, nuts, washers, spacers, and joints for core assembly.
Not Included but Available Separately from Us:
- Custom front differential package.
- Custom front axles.
- Front wheel bearings.
- Transmission or transfer case. OEM or built units available upon request.
- Front coilovers required for the AWD conversion.
- Electric steering rack conversion components.
- Front & rear driveshafts. Final driveshaft requirements depend on your specific transmission, transfer case, engine combination, and drivetrain placement.
- IS-F front rotors and LS460 front calipers.
Important: The custom front differential, front axles, wheel bearings, transmission, transfer case, coilovers, steering rack components, driveshafts, rotors, and calipers are not included in this listing unless specifically added to your order. Transmission Compatibility:
Your transmission must support a transfer case. If it does not, you will need to create a custom setup or find an alternative transmission option. Common options include 4L80E 4WD, TH400 4WD, 6L80E 4WD, ZF 8HP AWD, 10R80 4WD, or a custom T56 AWD setup. Choice depends on power, budget, and fitment. We are working on a custom T56 Magnum F AWD setup, but it is currently in R&D and testing. Contact us for recommendations.
Fitment & Installation Notes:
- Tunnel trimming or hammering will likely be required depending on drivetrain setup.
- Professional installation required β verify torque specs and wheel alignment after installation.
- Very minor drilling, approximately 1β2mm, of the shock towers to fit the required AWD front coilovers may be required.
Lead Time & Order Terms:
Each AWD Engineering kit is hand-built to order. Typical lead time: 4β10 weeks depending on production volume.

Shipping:
All packages are insured during shipping via freight or ground carrier depending on configuration. Signature WILL be required for delivery, no exceptions. All packages are photographed/recorded before leaving our facility for claims and quality assurance. Please inspect shipments within 48 hours of delivery.
